Which sizes does the image resizer use for each platform?
The image resizer uses each platform's published size: for example 2,000 × 2,000 px on pure white for Amazon, 2,048 × 2,048 px for Shopify and 2,200 × 2,200 px for Walmart. Where the platform gives only a range or a minimum, the value is Product Aura's choice, marked “ours”. Last verified: October 28, 2026. What size should Amazon product images be?
Amazon accepts 500 to 10,000 pixels on the longest side and prefers over 1,000 pixels so shoppers can zoom; Amazon staff call 1,600 pixels or more optimal. The resizer exports 2,000 × 2,000 px on pure white, so zoom works on every image. All rules: Amazon image requirements.
What size should Etsy listing photos be?
Etsy recommends at least 2,000 pixels in width and height, and a first photo that is horizontal or square. The resizer exports 2,000 × 2,000 px or 2,400 × 1,800 px (our landscape choice; 4:3 is not an Etsy rule) and steps the JPEG quality down to stay under Etsy's 1 MB upload warning, so uploads finish. What size should Shopify product images be?
Shopify says 2,048 × 2,048 px usually displays best for square product images, and accepts up to 5,000 × 5,000 px (25 megapixels) and 20 MB. The resizer exports 2,048 × 2,048 px, so your images match Shopify's own guidance. All rules: Shopify product image size.
What size should Walmart product images be?
Walmart asks for 2,200 × 2,200 px images at a 1:1 ratio on a seamless white background, 5 MB or less, with 1,500 × 1,500 px as the minimum for zoom (Walmart Marketplace Learn). The resizer exports exactly 2,200 × 2,200 px on pure white, so one preset covers the main image.
What size should eBay photos be?
eBay requires at least 500 pixels on the longest side (eBay picture policy) and recommends about 1,600 × 1,600 px, with up to 24 photos per listing (eBay: adding pictures). The resizer exports 1,600 × 1,600 px, so photos are sharp when buyers zoom.
What size should TikTok Shop product images be?
TikTok Shop product images should be square: at least 600 × 600 pixels in the US, Brazil and Southeast Asia, and at least 800 × 800 pixels in the UK and EU (TikTok Shop Academy, US, UK). The US and Brazil also ask for a pure white main image with no added text. The resizer exports 1,600 × 1,600 px (our choice), so one file works in every region, and has presets for the shop page banner, grid tiles and the 512 × 512 logo.
What size should Facebook and Instagram ad images be?
Meta's Ads Guide recommends 1,440 × 1,800 px (4:5) for Facebook and Instagram feed ads (Meta Ads Guide) and 1,440 × 2,560 px (9:16) for Stories and Reels, in JPG or PNG up to 30 MB (Stories). In Stories, Meta asks to keep key content out of the top 14%, the bottom 35% and 6% at each side. The resizer crops to fill both sizes, so ads have no empty bars; check that the product sits inside that safe zone. All placements: Facebook ad image size.
What size should Google Shopping images be?
Google Merchant Center recommends 1,500 × 1,500 px or larger. It requires at least 500 × 500 px for all products from January 31, 2027, and no file over 16 MB or 64 megapixels (Merchant Center Help). The resizer exports 1,500 × 1,500 px on white, so images already meet the 2027 minimum.
How does the resizer change an image without stretching it?
The resizer never stretches. It either fits the whole image inside the target size and fills the rest with pure white or a blurred copy, or it crops to fill. So the product keeps its real shape in every preset.
- Fit on white keeps the whole photo and pads it with pure white (RGB 255, 255, 255): right for marketplace main images on Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop and Google Shopping.
- Fit on blur pads with a blurred copy of the photo: softer for landscape listing photos such as Etsy's.
- Crop to fill fills the frame and trims the edges from the center: right for feed and story ads, where empty bars look like a mistake.
When a photo is smaller than the target, the resizer enlarges it and warns above 1.5 times, because enlarging adds pixels but no detail. So a warned photo is worth reshooting, or remaking at full size with Product Aura.

Does the resizer make an image compliant?
No. The resizer fixes size, shape, file type and file weight. It does not fix:
- an off-white or grey background;
- added text, logos or watermarks;
- a product that fills too little of the frame;
- a blurry photo.
To find those problems, check it against Amazon's main image rules with the free Amazon main image checker, so you know what to fix before you upload.
How do you get every size from one photo?
Product Aura makes the full set for a platform from one product photo and exports a ZIP already sized and named for that platform, so no resizing step is needed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the image resizer upload my images?
No, the Product Aura image resizer does not upload your images. Resizing runs in your browser and the images never leave your device, so you can resize photos of products that are not public yet.
How many images can I resize at once?
You can resize up to 20 images at once with the Product Aura image resizer, each up to 50 MB. They download one by one or as one ZIP, so a whole product gallery is done in one go.
Does resizing make a small photo sharper?
No, resizing does not make a small photo sharper: enlarging cannot add detail. The Product Aura image resizer warns when an image is enlarged more than 1.5 times, so you know which photos to reshoot or remake.
Does the image resizer keep image metadata?
Yes, the Product Aura image resizer keeps the photo’s XMP metadata, which holds the “AI generated” label and Amazon’s synthetic-performer keyword. Camera EXIF data such as the camera model and GPS location is not copied. To remove the AI label too, use a metadata editor such as ExifTool, and keep it where the law or a platform asks for it.
Can I resize covers for Amazon KDP?
No, the Product Aura image resizer has no Amazon KDP cover preset. The presets are for product listings and ads only, so use KDP’s own cover tools for books.
Can I resize images from an AI agent or a script?
No, the Product Aura image resizer runs only in the browser. The Product Aura API and MCP server make image sets that already come at each platform’s size, so an agent or script gets the right sizes without a resizing step.
