Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated October 28, 2026

Draft: this text is waiting for legal review and may change before Product Aura takes payments. Questions: [email protected].

In short: Use Product Aura to make honest images of real products you are allowed to sell. No counterfeits, no other brands’ logos without permission, no real people without their consent, no deceptive or illegal products or claims, and no sexual content. If you break these rules we may remove content and suspend or close your account.

1. Who this applies to

This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everyone who uses Product Aura, in the app, through the API, through the MCP server or through the command-line tool. It also applies to anything an AI assistant or script does with your account or API key: you are responsible for it.

2. Content you may not upload or create

Other people’s rights

  • Counterfeits, replicas, “dupes” presented as the real thing, or images that make a product look like another brand’s product.
  • Other brands’ logos, trademarks, packaging or product designs, unless you own them or have permission. Using a brand name only to state a fact, such as “fits iPhone 16”, is fine if it is true and does not suggest the brand endorses you.
  • Photos, artwork, designs or text that you do not own and do not have permission to use, including other sellers’ product photos.
  • Real, identifiable people (including celebrities and influencers) without their consent, or images that suggest someone endorses a product when they do not.

Deceptive content

  • Images that show a product differently from what the buyer will actually receive, for example different size, colour, quantity, materials or features.
  • False or unproven claims, including health, medical, weight-loss or “cures” claims, false “best seller”, “#1”, award, “Amazon’s Choice” or similar badges, and fake certifications, test results, safety marks or eco-labels.
  • Fake reviews, ratings, testimonials, before-and-after results or customer photos.
  • Images meant to mislead people about who sells a product or where it comes from.

Illegal, harmful or adult content

  • Products that are illegal where you sell them, or that the marketplace you use does not allow, such as illegal drugs, weapons and their parts, recalled or dangerous products, or stolen goods.
  • Sexual content or nudity of any kind, including “suggestive” images of products or models.
  • Any content that sexualises, exploits or harms children. We report this to the authorities.
  • Content that promotes violence, hatred, harassment or discrimination against people or groups.
  • Other people’s personal data, such as names, addresses or ID documents, that you have no right to use.
  • Anything else that breaks the law in your country or in the country where you sell.

3. Things you may not do

  • Create several accounts to collect free credits, or use other tricks to get credits you did not pay for.
  • Get around our limits or safety checks, including rate limits, the bot check, account suspensions or the safety filters of the AI models we use.
  • Share, sell or publish your API key, or let others use your account, except people who work with you in your own business. [OWNER: decide whether team sharing or reselling access, for example by agencies, is allowed. Making images for your clients’ products, with their permission, is fine.]
  • Attack, overload, scan or test the security of Product Aura, or try to access data or accounts that are not yours. If you find a security problem, please tell us at [email protected].
  • Copy, scrape or reverse engineer Product Aura, our prompts or our models, or use Product Aura to build a competing service or to train AI models.
  • Remove or change the AI-generated labels in our images where the law or a platform requires them to stay.
  • Use Product Aura to send spam or to break the rules of any marketplace or platform.

4. AI provider rules

Your images are made by AI models from other companies, such as Google, OpenAI and fal.ai. Their own usage policies also apply, and their safety filters may block some requests or images. If a request is blocked, the credits for the blocked image are refunded automatically. We cannot override those filters.

5. What we do if the rules are broken

Depending on how serious it is, we may:

  • block a request or remove content;
  • warn you;
  • revoke an API key or disconnect an AI assistant;
  • suspend your account or close it; and
  • report illegal content to the authorities where the law requires it.

Where it is fair and lawful, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. If you think we made a mistake, email [email protected] and we will look at it again. What happens to your credits when an account is closed is explained in the Terms of Service and the Refund and Credits Policy.

6. Reporting content and takedown notices

If you believe content made or stored with Product Aura infringes your rights (for example your trademark, copyright or likeness) or is illegal, email [email protected] with:

  1. your name and contact details;
  2. what the content is and where you found it, with links or screenshots if you have them;
  3. which right you own or what law you think is broken, and why;
  4. a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not allowed, and that the information in your notice is accurate; and
  5. if you act for someone else, a statement that you are allowed to act for the rights owner.

We review every notice, act quickly when content is clearly unlawful, and let the account holder respond where that is fair and lawful. Product Aura does not host public listings, so content found on a marketplace should also be reported to that marketplace. [LAWYER: confirm whether we need a separate DMCA agent registration for the US, and what the EU Digital Services Act requires of a service like ours.]
